PROJECTS
Portraits
A collection of big scale charcoal portraits depicting women from different cultural backgrounds, mainly black and African women.
“Growing up in a small country which happened to be quite closed in that time, my main contact with other cultures and people from other ethnic backgrounds was mostly through music and fashion magazines. Black women have always inspired and intrigued me which is why I started working on these charcoal portraits. They are a celebration of diversity and black beauty.”
NEXT PROJECT
Sereias
“Mermaids, the beloved creatures of the sea, embody the sacred feminine, they symbolize independence and individuality, they are ever-moving in the endless depths of wild waters, completely free.
Hana paints mermaids as contemporary women and modern goddesses, such as Venus and Amphitrite, headstrong personalities craving freedom that the sea provides. This is a Mediterranean story of sweet, hedonistic, never ending summer. “
